Reconstruction Status

A lot has happened since the lawsuit settled last April. The Board requested and received proposals from three architecture firms, ultimately choosing McGinnis Chen Associates in San Francisco (MCA) to develop a repair proposal. MCA reviewed all litigation documents and performed several site visits and inspections, and has developed an initial list of repairs.

The Board and Reconstruction Committee are currently reviewing the list for feasibility and appropriateness within our budget. Once a rough plan has been accepted, MCA will do an onsite meeting with all homeowners to review plans and gather further feedback.

The heavy December and early February rains in San Francisco required some short-term winterization, and has also lead to the beginning of permanent repairs with a limited plan to address water intrusion issues in the north wall. The project has been costed and approved, and should start soon.

A new Reconstruction page has been created here for public documents associated with reconstruction, also available at the top of the left sidebar. Initial documents include the various expert reports resulting from litigation that are being used to develop the reconstruction plan and schedules.
